Have you seen the Noonan piece in the wall street journal trying to disco out of this? Not word one on what she meant when she used this election cycle's number one buzz word: cynical.

This is my narrative and I'm sticking to it: A Presidential candidate is free to choose anyone as hir Vice-President running mate.
The quoted "open mike" conversation is nothing more than media hacks expressing bitterness over not being able to frame an election, to determine and manipulate its narrative.

or it GOP strategists recognizing the total cynicism of the choice (particularly apt insofar as Palin is dogmatically anti-choice).
